Tides is a series of five paintings exploring variation, presence, and stillness. Each canvas is made by placing and scraping paint across the surface, allowing it to settle into a horizontal line—like water finding its level.
The series speaks to presence: to what remains as everything changes, to the body witnessing these variations, as a persistence of being through time.
Exhibited at Still, Still here exhibition, in Amsterdam.
